Treaty of Paris

The Treaty of Paris (1783) formally ended the American Revolutionary War, with Britain recognising the independence of the United States and agreeing to new boundaries. It should not be confused with later Treaties of Paris, such as those ending the Napoleonic Wars (1814–15) or World War I (1919) peace settlement.
